SAN DIEGO, 20 December 2021 / PRNewswire / – With Legal Cannabis Industry Sales Approaching 2021 $ 31 billion, and the challenges presented by a growing black market for cannabis, most Americans (76%) said they expected shopping at in-store cannabis dispensaries to be equivalent to traditional retail store experiences, according to a recent Harris Poll online survey commissioned by Urbn Leaf, California leading cannabis retailer. Thirty-six percent say that a clean store environment is one of the most important factors for a positive shopping experience; 32% want a variety of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) percentage options and 31% want trained salespeople.

“Consumers are demanding a new industry standard for cannabis retail, especially in light of the black market of California, which has no regulatory oversight or monitoring from seed to sale for quality control, posing a huge risk to consumers without transparency on the processes of growing or manufacturing what they ingest, ”a declared Ed Schmult, CEO of Urbn Leaf. “For example, in a recent essay in Monterey County in California, out of 55 random samples of illegal cannabis taken from across the county, 84% of the products failed official lab tests due to contamination. We need to exceed customer expectations and deliver reputable and licensed retail experiences, Urbn Leaf has already put in place a number of clear retail initiatives that deliver a top notch experience and others to come in 2022. ”

Urbn Leaf has expanded its modern product displays, making it easy for store customers to explore product options and continues to host staff training and education to support retention of personal shopping experiences. It uses CanPay, a phone-based cashless payment app linking consumer banking information that eliminates trips to an ATM, and an online ordering e-commerce platform for skipping lines and quick pickup. Free shipping is available with a minimum $ 50 buy in some delivery stores.

This year has been a banner year for Urbn Leaf as more and more consumers are open to the experience of cannabis for everyday use. Urbn Leaf has seven points of sale in San Diego, San Ysidro, The Mesa, View, Grover Beach, Sea side and San jose.

In 2022, Urbn Leaf is part of StateHouse Holdings, a business combination of Harborside, a California vertical operator of marijuana and Loudpack, a grower, processor and distributor of four brands of cannabis based in Los Angeles. StateHouse will be one of the largest marijuana operators in California, with 15 points of sale and 230,000 square feet of greenhouse growing space. Locations include planned openings over the next 12 months, all being converted / renamed to Urbn Leaf stores with the exception of the Harborside store in Oakland.
