65% of consumers switch to plant-based products as Beyond and DoorDash extend barbecue offering – vegconomist

While a national survey by the delivery app DoorDash finds that the majority of Americans in the United States (73%) consider barbecue grilling a must-do activity this summer, the survey also shows that most consumers (65%), especially millennials, also choose herbal options based on a healthier lifestyle.

With that data in mind, alternative meat leader Beyond Meat has extended its partnership with DoorDash to sell their limited edition plant-based grilling kits through Labor Day weekend. The kit includes the new Beyond Burger, which is healthier than previous versions with 35% less total and saturated fat than 80/20 beef, as well as fewer calories and no cholesterol.
